Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is not the same as Obsessive–Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD), but people with OCPD can also have OCD tendencies - me too. That´s the reason for my working blockades. Now I´ve written an e-mail to my psychotherapist about this new aspect, an important part of my cognitive psychotherapy. Naturally my psychogenic pain has his role in this problematic process.
It drives me crazy when people state that 'they have OCD' because they may desire a certain amount of order in their lives. Most of them have no idea what most of us go through. I carry the compulsions on my back. It is a weight. They don't know about not having peace, the cuts I have on my hands from obsessive washing. Anyone else feel this way?
